    Charter Company & Yacht
Please answer the following questions pertaining to the charter company and the yacht you chartered.
Rating of Charter Company & Yacht: 5
Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Moorings staff was very informative about local travel arrangements and sailing destinations.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes. We had a quick checkout and a rundown of how to reset various breakers and equipment. One breaker for the generator was difficult to find as it had not been covered in the checkout. We had to call tech support at the base for instructions on accessing it
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The boat interior was clean and ready to go. The port bilge had not been flushed/cleaned and resulted in a smelly boat. The auto bilge pump turned out to be faulty and we cleaned and flushed the bilge with seawater and pumped out the bilge with the manual pump. Some other items were noted as needing maintenance, such as the cup wind instrument atop the mast. Otherwise the rigging, sails, and lines were in excellent shape.
Was the yacht’s cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes. The galley and cooking supplies were great. There was a very well-equipped bbq set.
    Was the yacht well ventilated?
Due to a faulty bilge pump a bad odour permeated the boat until the bilge was rinsed with seawater ( see above).
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
We would choose Moorings again. The company runs a great operation. Its base facilities are super and the staff is helpful and plentiful.
    Cruising Area

Did you like the area you chartered in?
The BVIs are great. It was very windy during the week we chartered.

Please answer the following questions pertaining to the charter company and the yacht you chartered.
Rating of Charter Company & Yacht: 4
Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes very accommodating and provided a brief overview for the sleep over night before we left.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes all went well the friendly skipper (who didn’t say on past the break wall) served as both.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
generally clean – radio wasn’t working it needs to be fixed it was a bit of a problem but didn’t ruin our day
Was the yacht’s cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
cooking yes – they really need to provide basics to clean the counters and bathrooms.
    Was the yacht well ventilated?
    yes
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Moorings – I don’t remember this last time. We were supposed to get 2 free ice – I had to ask; things were missing from the inventory – they said they knew everything that was missing but yet they didn’t provide until we asked. Somethings we got tired of asking. Each time they brought something they were looking for a tip. It got ridiculous and delayed us leaving as a results
    Cruising Area

Did you like the area you chartered in?
yes love it – it was the third time.

Best Restaurants – Anegada – Anegada Reef Hotel
and at Cow’s wreck beach go to Anne Tipsey new place it is so nice and they are so friendly – the old Cow Wreck Beach people are very unhappy people
Virgin Gorda – CocoMaya was a wonderful restaurant and the waiter made the night for Christmas Eve they even kept the kitchen open as we were running late from church.

Strong wins this trip but we like that!

A couple of new places for us this time including day trip moorings because we felt good that we reserved a mooring ahead of time.
