A Cabin Only Crewed Yacht means you are renting a cabin and bathroom on a crewed sailing catamaran and other clients will rent the other cabins. This is also often referred to as a shared yacht charter as you are “sharing” the yacht with other guests.
Both options have a professional crew team of a captain and chef onboard to ensure you have a wonderful vacation.

Sailing Itinerary
- Private Crewed Yacht Charter: The itinerary on a Private Crewed charter is completely tailored to your preferences and is flexible for the duration of your time on board. If you want to sail several hours – you got it! If you want to swim and snorkel a lot – absolutely! If you want to island hop to the local bars – no problem mon! The itinerary is flexible, and you are not on a schedule.
- Cabin Only Crewed Yacht Charter: The itinerary on a Cabin Only crewed charter is set in advance, of course weather dependent. The set itinerary brings you to the infamous islands and anchorages for the cruising area and gives the crew the opportunity to show you some of the gorgeous off-the-beaten-path spots.
Menu & Dining
- Private Crewed Yacht Charter: All meals on a Private Crewed charter is personalized by the gourmet chef based on a Preference Form that you complete prior to your vacation. The Preference Form is also used to ensure that the bar is stocked to your liking. Additionally, on a Private Crewed charter it’s up you when and how often meals and snacks are served.
- Cabin Only Crewed Yacht Charter: The menu is a standard offering of delicious chef-prepared meals. The chef will consider any allergies or dietary restrictions and will do her best to accommodate. Meals and snacks are served at a consistent time each day. The bar is a standard ship’s bar and on some cabin only yacht charter packages not all beverages are included.
Professional Crew
- Private Crewed Yacht Charter: On a Private Crewed charter, the crew lives aboard the yacht and is the same crew for all the charters on that yacht. Therefore, you will be able to review the crew bio before making your yacht choice – we will of course assist you in comparing the yachts and crews.
Since the crew is only accommodating your private group, they are able to be more hands on than on the shared yachts. The crew is often available for guided snorkeling, water toy lessons for those feeling adventurous, and to tow guests on inflatable toys with the dinghy. - Cabin Only Crewed Yacht Charter: On a Cabin Only charter, the crews rotate and therefore you are not guaranteed a specific crew for your charter. All the crews are professional captain and chef teams.
Since the crew is accommodating several groups at the same time, they are not as available as on a private yacht to be hands on with guests. They of course provide a lovely service and ensure clients are having a great time, just not to the same level of VIP service.
Charter Fee
- Private Crewed Yacht Charter: A common is price range is $10,000 – $12,000 per couple/week.
The charter price on a Private Crewed yacht includes everything onboard from meals and bar to running expenses, and each private crewed yacht is equipped with variety of popular water toys. If guests prefer to eat a few meals ashore, most yachts can arrange in advance to decrease the charter fee some. Typically, on a private yacht, the only additional expenses to consider are anything you do ashore and the crew gratuity of 15% – 20% of the charter fee. - Cabin Only Crewed Yacht Charter: A common price range is $4,000 – $5,000 per couple/week.
What’s included in the charter price on a Cabin Only Crewed yacht varies a little depending on the yacht. One of the most popular packages excludes 2 lunches and 1 dinner to be eaten ashore, or another popular package excludes beverage except with meals. Also, some packages have a small fee for local permits or cabin upgrades. Crew gratuity is also recommended at 15% – 20% of the charter fee.
