Characterized by picturesque mountainous coastlines and secluded stretches of beaches, Montenegro is starting to receive the recognition it deserves as one of the best places to charter. A Montenegro yacht charter will have you sailing the Adriatic Sea and navigating the coast of an underrated destination while stopping by beautiful Mediterranean towns including UNESCO World Heritage sites. A vibrant nightlife can provide a perfect contrast to a day of sailing and relaxation. Luxurious resorts and restaurants overlooking pristine beaches are not hard to find, and for those that want to explore a little further, neighboring Croatia is just over the horizon.
The coast of Montenegro has a climate classified as Mediterranean which makes for pleasant summers with temperatures reaching the mid eighties and cold winters. The Mediterranean Sea insulates the surrounding areas and keeps temperatures from getting too warm and also provides steady winds. It rains infrequently but heavily from September to April. The air and water temperatures combined with the absence of rain make summer, specifically July through early September, the perfect time to visit the region.

Charters typically start from the marina in the town of Kotor, which is a 15 minute drive from Tivat Airport. Flying into Tivat isn’t necessarily easy and will probably require routing through multiple airlines and connecting flights from nearby cities. It can sometimes be easier to fly into the capital city of Podgorica and make the 1 hour and 30 minute drive to the marina from there.
