Australia is another popular destination where you’ll sail the Whitsunday Islands known for their Aboriginal beginnings and the Great Barrier Reef. Australia is a great mix of islands lined with forests up to the shoreline – great for hiking and exploring historic trails, as well as for their expansive beaches made even more impressive during low tide.

Weather & Seasons – South Pacific
The South Pacific archipelago is located in the Southern Hemisphere, which means different seasons than other yacht chartering regions like the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
The drier season is between April and October, which is the most popular South Pacific yacht chartering season. The wetter and slightly hotter season is between November and March. The least rainfall is historically between June and October and most rainfall is between December and February – the months in between these timeframes are great mid season months with some rain expected, but still with mostly sunny days and consistent winds.
If chartering in the South Pacific is on your bucket list, we recommend between April and November with August and September being the optimum months for idyllic weather and sailing conditions.
The South Pacific is a tropical weather region with yacht chartering opportunities year-round. The air temperatures are always comfortable in the high 70s to low 80s and water temperatures that are similar. The winds are also fairly consistent year-round between 10-20 knots from the East – making the South Pacific a phenomenal choice for yacht chartering.
