Extremely, I cannot recommend this company enough. Very easy to work with, boats were excellent. Small enough where you felt a personal connection. My best charter ever!

We arrived after hours for a sleep aboard, so no charter company staff were present. We had to walk the marina to find the boat and the facilities. I suggested to the boat debriefer that BVI Yacht Charters create a PDF diagram of their base for late arriving charterers.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
They did an OK job. They had us watch a video ahead of time about the boat. We didn’t realize it wasn’t the exact boat. The video had a water maker on it. We didn’t realize until the second day that we didn’t actually have a water maker. That was inconvenient and I feel that they should’ve made a point to tell us the differences between our yacht and the video that we watched.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The yacht was very clean and in decent working condition. Starboard side air conditioners didn’t work when we started. We were able to make shift a temporary Repair while we were on the boat. This seems like something that should’ve been found before we started our journey. But I don’t know for sure. This was our first true bareboat adventure.

Yes, cooking and cleaning equipment was sufficient. I’m glad they supplied us with two boxes of matches. That was helpful. That was not on my packing list.

One mild complaint is that they did not supply us automatically with propane tanks for the grill. We didn’t think to ask about this ahead of time. They said we were supposed to ask for them at checkout. It would have been helpful if they took it upon themselves to ask us instead of waiting for us to think about it.

Ventilation was good.

We signed up to have 10 people in the boat. They only had bedding for eight people. This was also an inconvenience. We were sharing sheets and blankets, and it was not ideal.

They also did not tell us where the suction cups were to check the bilge compartments. We eventually found them on day number five. Now I know what they look like and maybe would have found them sooner.

Again, this is our first true bare boat experience, and we learned a lot.

Yes. However, there should be a book included with all of the working on the boat;
Switching water tanks, filling water tanks, operation of the generator and inverter, dumping holding tanks.

There was a lot of information during the familiarization tour. Too much to remember. A reference book is needed

I was never informed as to anchor rode/ground tackle. The very first night we needed to anchor in 60’ of water. There was not enough anchor ride for this. We ended up dragging anchor. It was a VERY stressful night.
