This is what surprised us. The cooking equipment was the best we’ve seen in a charter boat. It even had sharp kitchen knives

Although the boat came with a wind scoop the way the v-berth hatch was located the rush of air from the scoop was past the sleeping area. It did have the nicest fans I’ve seen

Everything worked except the water tank gauge was misleading- it showed half a tank when it was empty. We are used to that though so we weren’t taken by surprise

Office staff very friendly. Sleeping aboard is good logistics but bad sleep. Most dock staff commented how rough their marina is. I would recommend staying in a hotel rather than the boat.

Yes. Tika does a solid walkthrough.

Carelli was clean but is showing its age. On deck cushions and canvas over cockpit tired. Windows in canvas fogged over. Wheel leather completely worn thru. Dingy engine worked but significantly louder than all others and couldn’t be picked up for beach landings.

The staff provided a YouTube video of the vessel with full operational instructions. In addition, we went through the pre-sail briefing for the yacht with their fantastic staff.

Yes - special shout out to "Starboard" Kelly - she was great.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Tika gave us our orientation - she was excellent - extremely knowledgeable and professional.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
First of all - we were very happy with the fact that when our original contracted boat was no longer available we were upgraded to a bigger boat at no charge - that was super.
The boat was clean and everything (except the watermaker) was opertional when we received it (the watermaker had plumbing leaks so we couldn't use it - BUT the boat wasn't even supposed to have one so can't count that against them.)
We had a couple of operational issues during the trip
1. We lost the inside chart plotter screen a couple of days in - so I just used my phone
2. The outside chart plotter wouldn't make a detailed map after a few days - could've been my lack of familiarity with the unit, don't know. Again - had Navionics on my phone and iPad so just used those.
3. The biggest issue was with the dingy davit system - not sure who designed it but the way it was laid out didn't work well - there was a lot of friction on the lines and eventually one of the blocks gave way - we figured out a way to jury-rig it with some snatch blocks on board, but still made it a bit tough to raise the dingy. Wouldn't want that system again.
4. The rigging for the traveler was also somewhat worn and hard to move - I think that was just from use. We often had to pull it across manually.
BTW we reported these issues to the charter company but didn't ask for any repairs during our trip as we were getting along OK.
On the upside - the internet worked perfectly (nice that it was included!) Plenty of outlets and charging ports. Dingy was a bit tired but it and the outboard worked fine.
All other systems seemed to work just fine as well

Yes - the kitchen was great. Fridge/freezer worked great and plenty of space.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes - plenty of ventilation - loved the large windows facing forward in the main salon that opened up. AC worked great.

A Charter company crew came out to the channel to take over the boat on our return which I liked. Check-in was pretty quick - liked having the showers at the charter office to get ready for our flight.
Overall loved the size and layout of the boat - the interior was in great condition. Everyone had great time!
