Shared Charter: Dream Martinique

A shared, aka “Cabin Charter”, is an excellent way to enjoy a sailing vacation in Martinique on a fully crewed yacht charter without the cost of renting the entire yacht.


This one week itinerary includes visiting Bequia, Mustique, and Mayreau, as well as the wonderful Tobago Cays with its beautiful reefs. You’ll enjoy sailing, snorkeling and swimming in the pristine waters and lagoons, and if you’d like more activity, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area’s quaint villages. If a quiet vacation with a book is your ideal vacation, on board a catamaran you’ll find plenty of outdoor lounging areas that are perfect for relaxing. To round out this adventure, you’ll sail to the volcanic island of Saint Vincent, lush with vegetation and waterfalls. Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Le Marin / Union
Your catamaran will be waiting for you at the Marina du Marin in the south of the island at 6pm. Le Marin is a peaceful village situated by a deep bay, lined with mangroves, dotted with reefs and islets and located by a narrow isthmus protecting it from the swell and winds. The first leisure marina in the Lesser Antilles, it is the perfect gateway for cruises the Grenadines! You’ll be welcomed on board by your crew and shown to your cabin. You’ll depart on a night to navigate to Bequia, passing the the coasts of Saint Vincent.

Day 2: Union
You’ll arrive in Union in the afternoon where you’ll be required to proceed through customs entry formalities to visit the village. At the end of the day, you will discover Happy Island where you can have an aperitif with your feet in the water. Enjoy a specially prepared dinner onboard.

Day 3: Morpion / Petit Saint Vincent / Chatam Bay
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a short navigation to Morpion before setting sail towards Petit Saint Vincent for lunch. In the early afternoon you’ll head for Chatam Bay. Take advantage of this very pretty anchorage to swim with the turtles and discover the seabed. An exquisite dinner awaits you onboard.

Day 4: Mayreau
After breakfast and a leisurely swim, you’ll sail for about 1h 30 towards Mayreau. This island is the least populated of the archipelago with approximately 300 inhabitants. The only village, less than half an hour walk from the beach, is worth a visit, where you’ll encounter colorful wooden huts, bars and restaurants. Take a hike uphill to the village’s small stone church where the panoramic view of the neighboring islands is superb! Dinner onboard the yacht.

Day 5: Tobago Cays
After a short navigation, you’ll enjoy a day of relaxation. Swim and snorkel to immerse yourself in the underwater enchantment of the shallow coral reefs. Top up your tan while relaxing ashore on the fine sandy beaches. Take advantage of the many water toys available on board including snorkels, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. Venture along the paths of the desert islands to discover cacti, frangipani and endemic shrubs.

Day 6: Tobago Cays
After the morning excursion in Petit Tabac, enjoy lunch on board. Take advantage of your afternoon to continue discovering this nature reserve and its beautiful blue backgrounds. Dinner will be onboard.

Day 7: Mustique
After breakfast, you’ll head off on a short navigation to a small secluded cove in Canouan, ideal for snorkeling and water sports. Lunch will be enjoyed here before heading for Mustique. You’ll arrive just in time to enjoy an aperitif at the famous Basil’s bar while facing the sunset on the anchorage.

Day 8: Mustique / Bequia
After breakfast, enjoy swimming, water sports and an optional visit of the island. You’ll then depart for Bequia (pronounced “Békoué”), the first island of the Grenadines archipelago, where you’ll take a break in the harbor of Admiralty Bay. Sit back and relax while your friendly skipper takes care of the formalities. The capital, Port Elisabeth, is a lively little town whose bars proudly display the portrait of the Queen of England, a mark of attachment to the former colonial power. Dinner will be onboard.

Day 9: Cumberland
Depart after breakfast for an anchorage on the island of Saint Vincent, a volcanic island with lush vegetation. Cumberland is a beach of gray sand, with a large coconut plantation which goes up on the hill. The views from here are simply magnificent. You’ll head off in the early afternoon and head towards the waterfalls (excursion). Dinner will be onboard.

Day 10: Saint Anne (Martinique)
Depart for Martinique at sunrise. Breakfast will be served while sailing downwind of Saint Vincent.
Spend late afternoon on board or on the beach.

Day 11: Martinique
Enjoy breakfast on board before a short navigation to disembark at Port du Marin at 10am.

Included

• Standard Cabin mid-ship in a double cabin with private bathroom
• Superior Cabin Upgrade when available to a slightly larger forward or back / aft cabin
• Air conditioning in service from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm to reduce noise overnight.
With consent of all passengers, A/C will be operated overnight as well.
• Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with drinks (tea/coffee, water, and juices at breakfast)
Note: Special diets such as vegetarian, pescetarian, and vegan may incur an additional fee. A fee will be incurred based on the expense to accommodate the special diet and is determined once the dietary restrictions form is completed.

Optional – Excursions Package, $187/person

• Day 3: Taxi tour of Mustique, its wonderful panorama and luxury villas, then stop at the most beautiful beach in the island: “Macaroni Beach” (2 hours to enjoy the beach). 
• Day 4: Tobago Cays – Barbeque evening on the beach, which includes an aperitif and lobster dinner (depending on the season).
• Day 5: After dinner onboard, visit a local bar (drinks are not included).
• Day 6: St. Vincent – Taxi ride to discover the island’s villages and take pictures at the exquisite view points. Also includes swimming at the waterfall after an adventurous crossing of a hanging bridge (about 2.5 hours).
• Day 7: St. Lucia – Visit the island by taxi with a guide. You’ll explore the village of la Soufriere, the important village in the XVII century, the Botanical Garden, and the still active crater of the Soufriere volcano where you’ll enjoy a mud bath (about 3.5 hours).
