Shared Charter: Polynesia Dream TAH/RAI

A shared, aka “Cabin Charter”, is an excellent way to enjoy a sailing vacation in Tahiti, starting in Papeete and ending in Raiatea, on a fully crewed yacht charter without the cost of renting the entire yacht.


This one week itinerary includes an island safari on Moorea with stingrays, discovering village life on Huahine and seeing the breathtaking mountain views in Raiatea. You’ll enjoy sailing in the pristine waters and lagoons, snorkeling and swimming, beach combing, and if you’d like more activity there are plenty of opportunities for exploring. If a quiet vacation with a book is your ideal vacation, on board a catamaran you’ll find plenty of outdoor lounging areas that are perfect for relaxing. Typical Itinerary

Day 1: Papeete, Tahiti
Guests are welcome to board at 12:00pm noon. Lunch onboard then departure for sea crossing (about 2 hours of navigation) towards Moorea Island. Mooring for the rest of the day at Vaiare Bay, the largest white sand beach on island, for relaxing, swimming, and kayak and paddle board rides.

Day 2: Moorea
Short sail to Opunohu Bay in the morning and an afternoon spent snorkeling at Tiki Spot and swimming with stingrays. At sunset, you’ll leave for Huahine – a night-long navigation of 11 hours.

Day 3: Huahine
Arrive for breakfast in Fare, the charming main village of Huahine. Enjoy a visit to the village before a short sail to beautiful Ana Iti beach for snorkeling, kayaking and swimming.

Day 4: Huahine
After breakfast, discover the western part of Huahine lagoon, Bourayne and Avea Bay. Spend time enjoying leisure activities, including kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and beachcombing. Night at Fare village.

Day 5: Raiatea
Morning sail to Raiatea, also known as the sacred islands. Lunch at anchor with a stunning mountainous backdrop of Faaroa Bay. Explore the Faaroa river by dinghy in the afternoon. Short ride to a peaceful motu, a small island formed by broken coral and sand, for the night.

Day 6: Raiatea & Tahaa
Sail to Uturoa, inside Raiatea Lagoon. Stop for shopping at their vibrant, local covered market. Lunch onboard with a short sail inside the lagoon to Motu Tao Tao, northwest of Tahaa. Water-based activities include swimming, kayaking and beachcombing.

Day 7: Tahaa & Bora Bora
After breakfast, sail to magnificent Bora Bora (4 hours) and lunch at anchor at Motu Tapu. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the most beautiful lagoon in the South Pacific. Night at anchor, east of Bora Bora.

Day 8: Bora Bora
Breakfast is followed by a short sail to the Motu Taurere for beachcombing and kayaking. In the afternoon, you will get the most amazing view of the turquoise lagoon while you sail. Evening and night spent at Matira point.

Day 9: Bora Bora & Raiatea
After breakfast, sail 4 hours to Raiatea. Lunch at anchor and plenty of time for relaxing, swimming and water sports in the afternoon.

Day 10: Bora Bora & Raiatea
Short sail inside the huge lagoon of Tahaa to Motu Ceran for a leisurely afternoon swimming and snorkeling – be prepared to see an amazing rainbow of tropical fish. Short sail to Raiatea and evening at anchor in front of Uturoa for the night.

Day 11: Raiatea
Disembark at 08:00 am at the main pier of Uturoa downtown.

Included

• Standard Cabin mid-ship in a double cabin with private bathroom
• Superior Cabin Upgrade when available to a slightly larger forward or back / aft cabin
• Air conditioning in service from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm to reduce noise overnight.
With consent of all passengers, A/C will be operated overnight as well.
• Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with drinks (tea/coffee, water, and juices at breakfast)
Note: Special diets such as vegetarian, pescetarian, and vegan may incur an additional fee. A fee will be incurred based on the expense to accommodate the special diet and is determined once the dietary restrictions form is completed.
• Service of a 2-person crew: Professional Captain and Chef/Steward
• 2 sets of linens, towels and beach towels per person

• Moorea: Hike the Pineapple Trail, visit a local belvedere, partake in a local cuisine sampling, and tour their archeological sites.
• Guided tour onboard a Polynesian canoe around the Coral Garden and manta ray watching.
• Visit of a pearl farm and a guided snorkeling on the pearls.
• Guided Tour of the sacred islands of Raiatea, including the Taputapuatea temple, local gardens, and a vanilla plantation.
• Explore various archeological sites, see the unique and centuries-old fish traps, and spot sacred eels in the water.
• Dinner and evening at a restaurant with a local Polynesian show.
