How can you save on a crewed yacht charter? | Details |
---|---|
Book Early | Best value books first. The best value and most popular yachts are always the ones that are booked first. Value ≠ Cheapest. It means getting more yacht for your money. For example, a 52′ catamaran and a 45′ catamaran might both charter for $25,000, but one gives you more space and amenities. |
Charter For Less Nights | Consider a 6-night charter. The 7-night rate is prorated for 6 nights, offering real savings. Avoid 5 nights. There is a surcharge that makes 5 nights nearly the same price as 6. 6 nights still allows for a fulfilling itinerary! |
Share the Cost | Aim for 6 or 8 guests. These group sizes offer the best per-person pricing. If you are a couple looking for a luxury yacht vacation, consider a shared yacht charter. Groups of 12+: We can compare a tandem charter (two smaller yachts) vs. one large yacht to see what offers better value. |
No Half Board Option | Half board ≠ cheaper overall. It’s a common misconception that by choosing a “half board” option you will save money. It excludes 7 meals, reducing your upfront cost by about $25–$30/meal. BUT: Restaurant meals often cost $40–$50 each, you may end up spending more. Better option: Choose “local fare”, it only excludes 3 meals and still lets you try the local cuisine without sacrificing value. |
