      Charter Company & Yacht
Please answer the following questions pertaining to the charter company and the yacht you chartered.
Rating of Charter Company & Yacht: 4
Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
      Yes!
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
      Yes!
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
      Yes, generally.
We had issues with our dinghy that took some time to get fixed. The engine seemed old and not in the best condition and it turned out the fuel line was worn so air was getting in. We wasted a couple of days of our itinerary waiting in Blue Lagoon for someone to diagnose and fix it who never showed up, so we had to retrace our steps to Admiralty Bay where someone met us to resolve the problem; even after that we sometimes had trouble getting it to start.
Was the yacht’s cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
We had to request some items that weren’t originally provided but in the end they were “sufficient” though for some things we had to make do, like using a tray for a frying-pan lid. And the BBQ provided was usable but sketchy.
      Was the yacht well ventilated?
      Yes.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
A bit more wear and tear on the yacht given how new it was.
DYC staff were very friendly and helpful.
Snorkeling equipment was poor. We brought our own masks and snorkels but next time would bring flippers as well.
      Cruising Area

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Loved it!! Second time in the area and we’d definitely go back again.
Only downside to the area was that it was very difficult to find anchorages with flat water. Most nights were rather rolly.

And I have to mention that even with SailClear, the customs and immigration process is unbelievablly inefficient, especially on Carriacou / Tyrell Bay.
Would you like to share your itinerary or a vacation highlight with us?
Lots of highlights, including being included in a music video on Carriacou, and swimming with the sea turtles and rays at Tobago Cays.
