Experience the Flavor Explosion of a Lava Flow
Step into a world where the vibrant colors of a tropical sunset meet the refreshing taste of paradise with a Lava Flow cocktail.
This mesmerizing drink combines the creamy richness of a Pina Colada with a striking swirl of strawberry puree, creating a visual and taste sensation reminiscent of flowing lava.
Perfect for savoring while lounging on the sun deck of a yacht or by the poolside, the Lava Flow is more than just a cocktail… it’s an experience.
As you watch the “lava” gracefully flow through the layers of icy, tropical bliss, let each sip transport you to a state of relaxation and joy.
The combination of light and coconut rums, blended with fresh banana, pineapple juice, and coconut cream, offers a sweet escape to a tropical island, making every moment of your vacation or leisure time uniquely delightful.
Ingredients:
~ 1 oz Light rum
~ 1 oz Coconut rum (like Malibu)
~ 2 oz Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
~ 1 Banana
~ 2 oz Pineapple juice
~ 2 oz Coconut cream
~ 1/2 cup Crushed ice
Instructions:
1. Strawberry Mixture: Blend the strawberries until smooth to create a strawberry puree. Pour the puree into the bottom of the glass and set aside.
2. Pina Colada Mixture: In a blender, combine the light rum, coconut rum, banana, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and crushed ice. Blend until smooth.
3. Slowly pour the Pina Colada mixture over the strawberry puree into a hurricane (or any curved) glass. The lighter Pina Colada mixture will sit on top of the heavier strawberry puree, but some of the puree will seep up the sides of the glass, creating the “lava flow” effect.
4. Garnish with a pineapple slice, a strawberry, or a cherry.
5. Serve and enjoy your refreshing Lava Flow cocktail!
