Captain Ken Otte is a man of many passions and talents, with a career spanning the hotel, customer service, scuba diving, and sailing industries.
His love for the sea began in Mexico, where he had his first scuba diving experience and immediately fell in love with the underwater world. This passion led him to a job teaching scuba diving at the Bahamian resort Club Med, and eventually to a career as a diving and sail charter captain in the British Virgin Islands.
After returning to Canada to start a family, Ken combined his love for sailing with real estate and eventually started a sailing school and purchased a sailboat on Lake Huron. However, the allure of the ocean and the beauty of the British Virgin Islands drew him back, where he continues to share his enthusiasm for sailing, diving, and marine life with vacationers from all walks of life.
With a background in customer service and a deep love for the sea, Ken has become the go-to guy for vacationers looking for a unique and exciting experience. His years of experience as a diving and sail charter captain, as well as his passion for sharing his love for the ocean, make him a trusted and enthusiastic guide for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure.

YACHTING COCKTAIL RECIPE OF THE MONTH
~ RAINBOW PARADISE ~
Step into a world of vibrant colors and tropical flavors with the Rainbow Paradise cocktail… a dazzling creation that promises to delight your senses and transport you to paradise with every sip.
Crafted with layers of Grenadine syrup, orange juice, pineapple juice, Blue Curaçao, and a generous splash of vodka, this cocktail is as visually stunning as it is delicious.
From the rich red of the Grenadine to the vibrant blue of the Curaçao, each layer represents a different hue of the rainbow, inviting you on a journey of taste and discovery.
Raise your glass and toast to the beauty of the Rainbow Paradise… a cocktail that embodies the spirit of adventure and the joy of savoring life’s colorful moments.
Ingredients:
~ 1/2 oz Grenadine syrup
~ 2 oz Orange juice
~ 2 oz Pineapple juice
~ 1/2 oz Blue Curaçao
~ 1 oz Vodka
~ Ice cubes
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Glass: Fill the glass about halfway with ice cubes to help maintain the layer separation.
2. Layer 1 (Red): Pour the grenadine syrup directly into the bottom of the glass.
3. Layer 2 (Orange): Mix the vodka with the orange juice in a separate container. Carefully layer this mixture over the grenadine by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon. Aim for the spoon to touch the ice and the side of the glass slightly above the grenadine layer.
4. Layer 3 (Yellow): Clean the spoon. Then, layer the pineapple juice over the orange juice using the same technique, pouring it gently over the back of the spoon to keep the layers distinct.
5. Layer 4 (Blue): Lastly, pour the Blue Curaçao over the back of the spoon to form the final layer.
6. Serve and enjoy your refreshing Rainbow Paradise cocktail!
Tips: The success of the layering depends on the density of the liquids; denser liquids (like grenadine) go at the bottom and lighter ones (like Blue Curaçao) at the top. Pouring slowly and using the back of a spoon are crucial to prevent the layers from mixing.
