Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes very, the staff at the marina were fantastic. Both Rosie and Naz were great and very friendly.
I do not recall the name of the person at the fuel dock. We had mixed up the fuel amount unintentionally and after paying he chased me down to say I was overcharged. It was quickly fix and that type of honestly was refreshing.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Mostly, there were a few things that were left out that we discovered while underway. Did not know there were 2 valves for waste disposal but discovered it when we had another issue and went looking.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Clean yes, good working order no.

The sensors on the port side for both fresh water and fuel were not operational. We learned a few days into our trip that the port fresh water tank was never filled when we completely ran out of water unexpectedly. We had to spend extra time to head into a marina that we were not planning on doing. The Starboard engine also was an issue and overheated twice due to low coolant.

We think this boat may have be unused for a decent amount of time, the fresh water we did start with was quite stinky.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
cleaning wise it would be nice to have a spray kitchen cleaner

The pans are in rough shape and should be replaced
Was the yacht well ventilated?
yes
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Overall this was a good first experience for us and we plan on chartering again. When we were given a different boat I would have liked to be informed better and given some options if possible. The boat we ended up with was not nearly as nice and lacked a water maker. This item was one of the main reasons for initially booking the newer nicer boat.

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Yes. However we were not fully informed on the exact area we could charter in before we arrived. We had not planned on going north of Whale Cay due to the contract restrictions. Upon arrival that was part of the suggested itinerary.
This was a very appreciated as many fun things we wanted to see were up that way.

We had a little issue with the original boat and was switched to a different vessel. The charter company did not step up sufficiently on compensation but the VI team did what they could and refunded some additional money.

Yes, although we did suggest a juicer (squeeze or similar) for limes, oranges, and lemons.

BVI Yacht Charters did a great job addressing minor issues encountered during the sail and were very easy to work with on return.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes, however supposedly there were some online videos specifically for our boat (Lagoon 40) which I was unaware of. As a result it was a little hard to remember every detail regarding operation of the electrical system during our 45-minute briefing of the entire yacht, so I had to call a few times. Horizon did provide an operational manual that was about 95% complete details.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, only the toaster didn't work, not a big deal
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
The engine on the dingy wasn't working which should have been tested before we arrived. However, the Horizon Ops team talked me through a temp fix.

I don’t agree with paying for a full tank of gas at the start when I know I was not going to burn all that fuel. I like the idea of having a full tank of gas and returning it with a full tank.
One engine died on us and the moorings were there within the hour to repair it. Excellent response time.
