Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
No. While some staff members were friendly and accommodating the majority of them were not.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
No - initially the briefing was good but when the inverter broke on the yacht there should have been a follow up briefing on what to do on a yacht that had no inverter. Lots of problems could have be solved with that follow up briefing on how to handle a disabled yacht going forward.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yacht was clean but not in good working condition. Faulty Quatro/inverter system which resulted in an emergency return to base.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Overall yes.... Broken coffee maker on board
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
The Quatro/Inverter system failed on day 2
Returned to base for repairs - stayed at base overnight for a tech to look at the yacht the next morning.
No repairs were made to the Quatro / inverter system and we were sent on our way with a disabled system being told we could not hook up to shore power. No briefing on how to handle a yacht with a disabled Inverter system leading to multiple problems over the week.

Cabin door handle fell off and a crew member managed to repair it.

Coffee maker broken but replaced halfway through the trip

House batteries not holding charge - We were charging them to full at around 8 pm but by morning the battery is dead - resulting in equipment shutting down and beeping all night long keeping guests awake and captain up at night.

We are looking for compensation.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes, there was some confusion bc the boat was not ready so they told us to leave our bags on the dock. We were getting in a taxi to go eat while they finished up the boat and then we were told we had to put everything on the boat or it would be stolen
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Not the best checkout. A lot of wrong information including the water maker and tanks but we figured it out. The guy who checked us out was very disrespectful to me so my friend kind of went off on him
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes but we had roaches and bugs in the cushions and we were told the boat had ac but it did not have ac. That would have been a no go item had we known before. The genset broke when we were in VG and they sent out a tech to fix it. He said it was a faulty wire and that dyc had installed it in house and would need to fix it. He also told the guy who checked us out that he was not correct as to where the filter was and that I was Indeed correct so I appreciate him having my back bc Ken was very condescending to me and he wasn’t even right

Yes. Missing a few items and had a broken can opener but we made due
Was the yacht well ventilated?
There was no ac except for the cabins. The specs sheet said it had ac so that was a very unpleasant surprise especially bc it was so hot and we didn’t have a lot of wind
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Probably won’t return to DYC. They have definitely improved but still little things keep happening and I think they just don’t really care
