Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Mooring’s staff were great and so friendly. Easy to check in, get transport, and push off the dock
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes. Quick and thorough.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The yacht was generally clean and in fairly good order. It was an older yacht and had little issues with doors and dings. The worst part was that there was an infestation of drain flies that emerged on day 2. They would hide under the boat at the through hull points for the shower drain and sink drain and emerge at night to buzz around the lights outdoors.
They were not inside the cabin but made outdoor dining annoying. There was no fix. We tried vinegar and bug spray. Even sailing all day to anegada did not rid us of them.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Opt for a newer boat as the older ones are wrecked. Also bigger is better. The lack of a traveller (2 mainsheet system was on our boat)) was inefficient. It’s really hard to trim it effectively and also keep the job adjusted right.
Cruising Area

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Yes. Great moorings and spots to anchor. This is our 5th trip to the BVI and we found service at all restaurants (the night, potters, BEYC, and Jost to be lackluster. No one smiled. No one checked in and we constantly felt like a burden. This trip was just my wife and son and I and we were tried like we did not matter compared to larger tables. Additionally every single establishment now charges 15% or more service charge but the service sucked. We had not had this experience in our past 4 charters here. It was noticeable and really ruined much of our dining. The best and most genuine experience was at Willy Ts. Great bar tenders. Amazing food and great smiling team members.

Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Very comfortable and clean. You had a nice made bed and new towels every day. There was no disorganization or clutter.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
They were very friendly and accommodating. The captain opened the sail just to provide shade so we could sit up front!
Was the food good and well presented?
The food was the best! It went over and above our expectations! Probably the best vacation food we ever has. The presentation was beautiful!
8. Additional comments about the yacht and crew?
Randeen and Alan were very friendly and welcoming. We felt comfortable being there the whole time. We did not have to do anything while we were on the boat. They even filled our water cups throughout the day. Anytime we asked for anything they provided. Randeen even found me some lemonade, which is not something usually made in the BVI, and made me a lovely strawberry lemonade drink! They were very chill and we enjoyed their company.

Very much so! It was all beautiful!!

We went to Cooper Island, the Baths, Andagada, many more islands and beaches. We scuba dived, bar hopped, snorkeled, and met alot of interesting people!

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Very
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Very friendly boat briefer. A little bit less than complete but I’m a fairly experience mariner and it was sufficient
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes but through no fault of Navigare one of the fuel gauges was wrong and that tank was low when the boat was accepted. It all worked out with a pretty quick delivery of fuel by Navigare’s team and a stop for fuel (provisions and ice) at Spanishtown. Navigare quickly agreed that the tank was low and fairly settled the final charges.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Very good galley and plenty of refrigeration space.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
It was hot there last week and we used the AC at night. I don’t think catamarans built by anyone ventilate well.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
The Navigare office, dock and cleaning crews are very helpful and friendly. I’ve used at least five different BVI charter providers and our experience with Navigare was pretty close to perfect. Please tell them how pleased we were. As an example, at the base our last morning I was just stepping off the boat to put a bag of trash in a trash container about 50 feet away when one of the dock crew insisted on taking it and doing it himself.
Cruising Area

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Since it’s about the 18th time we’ve cruised in the BVI, I’d say we love it. Our first was in 1986 (!) and there were only about six or eight moorings off Cooper Island. Now there are 40 so times change but it’s still fine. We always start our cruise by spending two nights at anchor in the less popular Key Bay then swing around to Great Harbor which was also uncrowded.
Would you like to share your itinerary or a vacation highlight with us?
See above. But we knew the Bitter End would be popular but definitely wanted to dine one evening there and did. It was an exceptional experience from the super courteous water taxi operator to the wait staff at the dining room they call casual but the food and service was far from just casual. We were pleased to see that the snorkeling was fine at all our stops where that was done.
