Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Very Friendly, being our first time it took a lot longer than expected to gather details and there were items missing on our boat that we were trying to fulfill. Mainly cushions and towels.

Visited Jost Vandyke and the Soggy Dollar Bar
Our last night was in Norman Island

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
When arriving in the evening when the marina was closed there were no directions to the boat location so it was difficult hauling luggage up and down docks trying to locate our boat.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The starboard air conditioning unit and generator quit working during our trip which required us to return to Nanny Cay Marina. The Navigaire maintenance team were able to make the necessary repairs after several hours of work, however, we did lose close to a day of vacation because of the issue. We have not been offered any reimbursement for the inconvenience which we had expected.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
They did an OK job. They had us watch a video ahead of time about the boat. We didn’t realize it wasn’t the exact boat. The video had a water maker on it. We didn’t realize until the second day that we didn’t actually have a water maker. That was inconvenient and I feel that they should’ve made a point to tell us the differences between our yacht and the video that we watched.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The yacht was very clean and in decent working condition. Starboard side air conditioners didn’t work when we started. We were able to make shift a temporary Repair while we were on the boat. This seems like something that should’ve been found before we started our journey. But I don’t know for sure. This was our first true bareboat adventure.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, cooking and cleaning equipment was sufficient. I’m glad they supplied us with two boxes of matches. That was helpful. That was not on my packing list.
One mild complaint is that they did not supply us automatically with propane tanks for the grill. We didn’t think to ask about this ahead of time. They said we were supposed to ask for them at checkout. It would have been helpful if they took it upon themselves to ask us instead of waiting for us to think about it.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Ventilation was good.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
We signed up to have 10 people in the boat. They only had bedding for eight people. This was also an inconvenience. We were sharing sheets and blankets, and it was not ideal.
They also did not tell us where the suction cups were to check the bilge compartments. We eventually found them on day number five. Now I know what they look like and maybe would have found them sooner.
Again, this is our first true bare boat experience, and we learned a lot.

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Yes. Area was beautiful. Groceries were expensive. I was told that eating out was expensive, but I didn’t expect groceries to be quite as expensive as they were. I think the yacht company tried to indicate high cost. This was my bad. I am more prepared to know what to expect to spend for food next time.
Would you like to share your itinerary or a vacation highlight with us?
One of our hidden jewels was the marina cay which is right by the airport in Tortola. Hopefully I’m remembering the name correct. It’s right by Scrub Island. It is very laid-back just like the description. My kids loved paying beanbags on the beach. We had a meal at the restaurant, and the meal was decent, and the staff was good. I was skeptical that we would be waiting a long time for meals and drinks given “island time“ issues, but this restaurant ran very efficiently.

Yes!! Such a pleasure to work with Kimmy and Sayula. They were both so accommodating and helpful.
A big THANK YOU to Anthony for giving us our boat briefing on Friday afterrnoon rather than Saturday morning. It allowed us to leave the marina early than normal on Saturday morning.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes, Anthony was very clear and gave us goof insight to the operation of the boat.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes, super clean!
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
It was but there was a larger frying pan that we stopped using because the teflon was all worn off and made for a difficult clean up.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
It was but it would have been better if Defour had put AC outlet in each of the bathrooms. That's design issue and not a Waypoints problem. Perhaps the boat owner may want to commission a work order to do that.

I can't say enough positive things about Waypoints. From the front office staff to Anothony helping me fix a couple of issues while we were out of the marina. He was super helpful and quickly responded to me.
