They are the best around

Amazing. the yacht exceeded expectations.
3. Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
The stove top did not allow for two pans at once on it. The pans were both large and only one could fit. As such, we only used one pan the entire trip, which was fine, but it would have been nice to have a smaller pan.
4. Was the boat well ventilated?
Great! We did use the AC even though we thought we wouldn't. Just on a couple of nights when the batteries needed a charge anyway.
5. Did the staff at TMM Tortola do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Great walk through, very knowledgeable, super friendly.
6. Did you like the area you cruised?
We still love it after 22 years of cruising.
7. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
We loved the extra rental days, it felt like a very good deal, and I would love to have that kind of incentive to come back often!!

TMM is a great company. They are professional, knowledgeable and approachable. there is no attitude but the yachts are well maintained and the service awesome. We have used them the last two times we've cruised, and I would recommend them to anyone headed for the BVI. As a matter of fact, we gave out their name multiple times on our voyage to people who were less than thrilled with their rentals.

Charter was originally with Navigare but they pulled boat less than 2 weeks before charter claiming they were moving boat. This caused unnecessary stress before the charter. Then we ultimately saw Summer out on charter our first day out. Even though they ultimately paid for an "upgrade" at TMM, their initial offer was less than fair and the whole thing was definitely unprofessional. As the organizer of this charter it refected poorly on me. I do appreciate the efforts of Joann Higgins in finding Smile Maker and having Navigare pay for it. In the end Smile Maker was fine. We really appreciated the Rainman Water Maker as we never had to stop to refill the tank, and also permanent propane grill. In comparing the Fountain Pajot Saona with the Lagoon 450F I think I prefer the Lagoon, but only by a little, ventilation being one along with forward cockpit and center flybridge helm. All and all, my mostly first time crew was very happy and we got to most of the places we wanted. We timed it pretty well as we avoided the 4 day quarantine and then only slight inconvenience when they introduced new early closure restrictions due to the new covid outbreak.

Yes, the staff is very friendly and accommodating

Yepa is pretty worn out. Overall it worked out, but we were disappointed in how worn it was.

The forward starboard room - the A/C did not work and the forward starboard bathroom smelled the entire time even after we released waste at sea. We discovered sewage had overflowed before from a valve on the bow of the boat running under the cushions. The same thing happened a few days into this trip. Once i released the tanks it solved the problem temporarily. The smell was still there. There must be some kind of blockage.

It was an amazing vacation. Shaka was key in making this a perfect vacation. He advised us on the best places to go, he gave us contacts in all the islands for dinner, lobsters, scooters, etc, he arranged our Taxis, he helped us with the Covid protocols, he entertained us with his sailing stories, and he mentored Bradley who was the captain on the other Catamaran. It was a wonderful vacation! I was pleasantly surprised that the beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked really well which is very important after a full day of sun. We went to great spots in Virgen Gorda, Tortola, Norman Island, Peter island, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada. The weather and the ocean were perfect.
