COOKING EQUIPMENT WAS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. NO CLEANING EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED

YES, but somethings were over looked

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
The crew was fantastic...probably the best crew we have had yet and this is our third sailing trip.

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
The boat was huge and well kept.

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
No issues with the ventilation

4. Was the food good and well presented?
Margaret's food prep and presentation rivaled any high end restaurant!

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
We liked the USVI but honestly prefer the BVIs as they are more developed and the water is calmer.

6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
Nope...you guys were above board and honest during a crazy pandemic time!

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Taylor and Margaret! We were four adults and four teenagers and we were never hurting for activity or relaxation. Taylor and Margaret were attentive without being overbearing. They are clearly well-suited to the service industry flexing their style to accommodate the needs of their passengers, and delivering a spectacular sailboat experience. We sailed, hiked, wake boarded, kayaked and soaked up the sun with many a fantastic cocktail and meal that rivaled any high end restaurant we have been to...Margaret even flexed to satisfy some of the more picky eaters. As an added benefit, we commissioned Taylor to do the final check out dives for 3 of our teens. He provided the right amount of push to ensure they were truly ready for the responsibility and possible peril of underwater diving while still ensuring the kids enjoyed themselves. All-in-all, a fantastic and relaxing sailing trip on a top-notch boat...our third and best so far!!!

The yacht as inspected was clean, there were things that didn’t work that we didn’t discover till underway

We. Had a few hiccups getting the appropriate boat contract

9. Additional comments on your charter?
The staff that greeted us and did our walk through were great, Adam did a great job familiarizing us with the boat. Once. Under sail it was obvious that the mainsail was not rigged correctly and had a broken block that we didn’t see on our walk through, when we called for help they had no chase boat or availability to assist, the jib halyard was worn and broke on day three, again no assistance resulting in limiting our ability to sail the boat. We called multiple times for assistance and were told unless we returned to base there was nothing they could do. The current temporary base is in a great location and when completed should be great, right now they have no shore power. I really liked the areas around Saint John, while there aren’t several islands like in the BVI, the beaches, in my opinion were better, provisions are currently challenging, I highly recommend oversupplying compared to the BVI, very hard to reprovision once you leave Saint Thomas, the water maker on the boat was a life saver.

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Yes, they were very friendly and accommodating. Our group had a fantastic time.

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
The yacht is brand new so it was very clean and comfortable. I don't think I saw anything that was not in perfect order, right down to the cushions.

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes the yacht was well ventilated overall, while the cats tend to have much better breeze up top and on the bow.

4. Was the food good and well presented?
Sy is a very talented chef and takes a great deal of pride in not only the food itself but its presentation.

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes, in fact it was the first time I had sailed the southern side of St John due to the BVI being closed. In the past we have always cleared customs in West End Tortola and after spending the night at Norman, heading in the direction of Virgin Gorda. While we are looking forward to coming back when the BVI is open again, the southern side of St John was a real treat..

6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
No, VI Sailing was very accommodating and we felt everything was prepared on a first class basis.

We have enjoyed sailing in the Virgin Islands for many years. This yacht and crew may have been our favorite. Sy and Kara were a delight and take great pride in making their guests feel right at home. I'm not sure there was anything more we could have asked for.

The crew was absolutely amazing. Adam and Sophie were the perfect hosts and exceeded all our expectations. Their hospitality is unparalled.

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes the yacht was well appointed, comfortable with all the necessary amenities and beyond.

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Great breezes all day and evening.

4. Was the food good and well presented?
The food was beyond anything we expected. I live a Keto lifestyle so Sohphie prepared wonderful meals that met my dietary needs along with fabulous meals for my husband. Everything served looked and tasted like it came from a four star restaurant.

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Absolutely breathtaking. One of the most beautiful places on earth.

6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
I wish we had a better understanding on the Bahamas Health Visa Policy. Its a bit complicated and not well communicated.

My husband and I had wanted to charter a yacht for 15 years in the Bahamas and we finally did it, so this was our first charter ever. We really didn't really know what to expect however we knew it would be a very special vacation. Wow does even begin to describe our trip. The Bahamas is a vey special place and we can't wait to go back. It may have been our first time, but certainly not our last trip. Our crew, Adam and Sophie, made us feel immediately welcome and it didn't take long before we knew we had made life long friends. I can't image doing another charter in the Bahamas unless its with them. They made every effort to accommodate our needs as indicated on the survey we completed prior to sailing and absolutely nailed it! Actually the went above and beyond and made us feel so special. This vacation will live in our memories forever.
