Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes, extremely helpful. Everything was already in order and they made us feel welcome.
The office staff checked us in quickly and introduced us to our captain and chef. The captain was outstanding! His welcoming attitude and humor made our trip VERY enjoyable. Our chef was french and was learning english. His food preparation outstanding.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
The captain gave us an orientation and explained what he expected while on his boat. We felt well informed before leaving the dock.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes, the boat was in excellent condition and stocked with an enormous amount of beverages.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, the chef had everything needed for our trip.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
yes. The cabins air conditioning was louder than we were used to while sleeping so I turned it off. However, with the cabin hatch closed, the cabin warmed enough that I turned the AC back on.

The cabin head was close, but with the hatch slightly open, it was fresh and comfortable.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Festiva Sailing was an excellent choice. The Kaytlen Lee was a relatively new yacht and in excellent condition. We had no issues with the company or the boat.

Captain Sam was OUTSTANDING! He was a wonderful host and guide for our trip.
Chef Sebastian did an excellent job with food preparation and presentation.
Both men made us feel like family by the time the cruise ended. I would HIGHLY recommend them to new cruisers.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes. We have got to know Abby, Cassie, and Kimie quite well over the years and we find them excellent. This time we got to know Kitt and Nelson who were available to us when we wanted them.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes, we had a few issues with the boat but because we had received a good briefing we were able to sort out those issues easily.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes we have rented Goin’ Coastal before and it was in the same as last time. Well maintained and in good working order.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, we used the outside grill and it was very easy to light and use. We also used the oven and the stove top many times with no problems. Buckets and brushes were available and used to keep the boat clean.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes, plenty of hatches and AC kept the boat cool along with hood fans in the kitchen and cabins.

We have been to the BVI’s now at least 4-5 times. Really good place to sail and to eat out with variety. Normally excellent weather conditions for novice and experienced sailors. This week we had stronger winds than usual.

Generally, yes. The receptionist was a bit cold but that may be a cultural difference.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The yacht was great overall. We had issues with the main furler which we attributed to our inexperience with main furling systems. When we returned the boat we saw on their check list that the main furler was recommended for replacement. While it is understandable that it takes time to resolve known issues, it would have been helpful to know that it was an issue before we went out.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes.

Sea Wolf is an excellent boat. The best accessories are the auto pilot and the solar panels. The solar was enough that we did not need to run the generator or engine to maintain the house bank.

Did you like the area you chartered in?
We enjoyed the BVI but are not likely to return soon. All of the destinations are, essentially, bars. We are not big drinkers and had two teens with us so they didn't do much for us. Also, and related, we had a hard time finding activities off the boat. We did hike to The Bight from Benures Bay on Norman Island but weren't able to get to the Baths or find any other hikes that seemed worthwhile. The snorkeling was also surprisingly poor. Perhaps we didn't know where to go but the locations recommended in the guide, Cistern Point for example, were pretty weak. The Indians and Caves were nice. Final issue was the crowding. We were told it was still relatively slow but twice had to find alternative anchorages because our first choice was full by noon. If it can be busier than that we don't want to be there.

Everything was pretty much great. Could use more information regarding arrival day - especially after hours as there is no one there to tell you where the boat is or if it’s ok to board. We figured it out.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
We arrived late so no one was there. They came by promptly in the morning though.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
The staff did a pretty good job. I forgot to check the air horn, and so did the staff, so when we reached for it underway we found the horn itself was missing. That was pretty much it.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The port side air con was not working the first night. Needed to be charged, which they did before we left. But on the last night it stopped working again, must be a leak. Also, the sliding door latch was broken. Other than that, everything was tip too.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes - only complaint is that there were no wine glasses aboard.

Awesome. presentation out of this world. Would qualify for any of the top restaurants we have eaten at.

Hugh is a sheer delight to be with as well as an accomplished leader. It is clear he set the tone for the entire experience and Doris is an accomplished chef with a well tuned service ethic. Was truly a memorable experience and the service was a big part of that.

In any business the top 5% distinguish themselves through attention to detail and attitude. This is a top tier crew.

I'm sure it is not uncommon that people have had to reschedule and move trips multiple times because of all that Covid has inflicted on the world. But it was a shock to get a call while on the tarmac about to taxi for my flight from the west coast, that my boat would not be ready. Kudos to the concierge team for quickly coming up with acceptable alternatives. Upon landing in the VI and discovering that nearly 200 boats had been impounded, I felt fortunate.

yes, especially since it was a last second change for them to accommodate me. Waypoints to the rescue! Great boat, provisioning was easy, lots of extra help since 24 hours earlier we were heading to a different company and island.

Yes, St John had lots to offer. The diving was great and there were many spots we didn't have time to explore. I think there are more hiking options on St John than in the BVI. The night sky was amazing,

Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes, yacht was comfortable, clean and well stocked.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes well ventilated. The AC went down to at least 69 degrees and there was a separate fan over the bed. We were concerned it wouldn’t be cold enough for us but it wasn’t an issue.
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Yes Capt. Ryan and first mate Steph were the best. They made us feel special and pampered.
Was the food good and well presented?
Yes everything was made from scratch and the menu was different every day. Steph was an amazing cook! My wife was gluten-free so she made special accommodations for every meal.

First rate crew. They were so much fun! They took us to one of kind spots that we’ve never been to and excellent restaurants. They helped arrange a band on the boat for a birthday celebration that turned into a “block party “ on the bay. Would definitely hire again.
