Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
yes, yes, yes.....actually they kept everything spotless, and we could not have been more comfortable.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
yes, and we used AC at night, so was very comfortable
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
the most amazing crew we have ever had. I just cannot say enough about them. Their experience, enthusiasm, accommodations, work ethic, etc., everything was top notch, and we could not have been more pleased with them. We have made some new friends, and will keep an eye on them as they travel the world.
Was the food good and well presented?
excellent. Dee is a fantastic cook, and explained every meal in detail. There was not one meal that we did not enjoy. Portions were perfect, and we loved every meal more than the last. Great variety and more than enough to keep us happy. Food coma's happened frequently. We were pleasantly surprised with every meal
8. Additional comments about the yacht and crew?
this was our 9th charter. By far the best boat, food, crew, fun, etc. I cannot say enough about Ross, Dee and the boat. Far exceeded our expectations and we will book with them again, hopefully next year. Working on that now.

There are not enough words to describe how we felt about this trip.....the absolute best we have done. They are hard workers, and never tired of taking care of us and the boat. Their dedication really showed, and we were very happy the entire time.

yes, as always we hit our favorite spots and tried a few new ones. Ross is very familiar with secluded bays, great dive sites, and where to go for a little island fun. We will never tire of the bvi's, and could never run out of places to go

Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes very comfortable and clean. Maddie and Greg stayed on top of making Catatonic clean and it always felt like home!
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes the crew always made sure Catatonic was ventilated and the air temp was always great!
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Maddie and Greg are the kindest team! We can’t imagine a better experience. They made everyday they best day from activities, games to exploring the he greatest spots. We were spoiled and cared for beyond expectation. We feel blessed to have had this experience and can’t imagine it without Maddie and Greg. They are truly a special crew! We will hold these memories dear forever. Thank you!
Was the food good and well presented?
The food was phenomenal and we have even come home to recreate the dishes. We loved every meal and our children did too!
Every meal was creative and so fresh. Maddie made a hug effort to accommodate allergies and restrictions. It made us feel at ease. Thank for Maddie for every delicious meal that I know you made with love.

Maddie and Greg, It’s hard to put in words how grateful we are! You both exude kindness and positive attitudes daily. You were so engaging and truly felt like part of our family for the week. I think my first charter with Melody was 20+ years ago and once again, it was excellent working with the team.

We booked our own hotel, so no reflection on your team, but for what it is worth: We were disappointed with the Wyndham @ Lambert on our way in and we were extremely pleased with the Mariner (Moorings) hotel on our way out.

Yes, very. I've chartered nearly 50 times and TMM was absolutely awesome. Nicole was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely well organized.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Livin' The Dream is a new 2022 model and Henning did an excellent job helping us understand the details of systems and subsystems. The best checkout briefing I've had. Super helpful
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Extremely. Joyce really used her knowledge and experience to provide a comfortable home for us for two weeks.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, everything we needed and loved having real non-stick cookware on board. The freezer and fridges on this boat where the best we've ever seen.

Yes, all employees were courteous, friendly and helpful.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes. It is a lot of information to process and remember but the employee was patient and thorough.

Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
There could have been a better selection of pots and pans. The largest nonstick skillet was terrible and should be replaced. There should also be plastic spatulas to use in a non stick skillet. A large pot 4-5 qt is needed.
The coffee maker was awful. Sometimes half the pot of coffee would flow all over the counter, not always but sometimes. We still ate most meals on board.

Hi Ellen,

As you know earlier this month we chartered Rumba with Captain Brendan and Chef Karen.

We had a great time. Rumba was in very good shape. The layout of the boat was perfect for our group. We took advantage of the roomy flybridge. The lounge area on the bow was nicely cushioned. The staterooms were comfortable and the AC and plumbing all worked perfectly.

Captain Brendan was terrific. He was very quick to understand our interests and come up with an itinerary that met them. Prior to the charter we expressed interest in getting us all out on kayaks and they came equipped with three inflatable kayaks that we enjoyed in several anchorages. Brendan gave us lots of opportunity to take the helm and sail Rumba, which we enjoy doing. He took us to several pretty snorkeling spots. He anticipated our every need and interest.

Chef Karen was terrific as well. All of the meals were excellent. I was amazed at how we had fresh baked muffins every morning. In our preference sheet we expressed interest in fresh local sea food and Karen served us delicious local lobster tails, buttery sea bass and other terrific meals. All of our food and beverage preferences were met. The boat was fully stocked with the beverages we asked for. Brendan's drink-of-the-day was highly anticipated and enjoyed at cocktail hour each afternoon.

Brendan and Karen were delightful and fun to spend the week with. We highly recommend them and Rumba. Should we return to the Virgin Islands next season which is a distinct possibility, we will want to be with them and on Rumba again. Thanks for another great boat and crew selection for us.

This was our sixth charter with you and VI Sailing and we are already looking forward to the seventh.

After chartering with many first and second tier charter companies in the USVI and BVI, I am impressed with the level of customer service and the great condition of BVIYC's boats. They emphasize preventive maintenance by taking the time between charters to maintain their boats, which means fewer breakdowns on charter. I'm sold on these guys.

Very Clean. Plenty of room for everyone to get together and visit, or spread out and relax.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Each night the breeze coming through the cabin was so calmingand comfortable.
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Brian did an excellent job of preparing meals, drinks, and excursions. He was first to get up, the last to go to bed, and around every corner to take care of anything and everything we wanted or needed.
Was the food good and well presented?
The food was plentiful, tasty and presented in a very colorful and decorative manner.

I had certain expectations of the trip from food, drinks, destinations and activities and the Altitude Adjustment exceeded them all. If I decide to repeat this trip, the 1st place I will look is Brian and the Altitude Adjustment!
