Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
The DYC staff was more professional than welcoming and helpful. We were told that staff would upon return take the boat in to the slip as the entrance to the slips are quite tight. No one responded to multiple VHF calls. We eventually put the boat on the outside dock and had to go to the office to get someone to help us. The customer service phone number in the binder given to us was out of service. This did not make us feel like they were concerned about us. The location was much better than Hodges Creek but the staff was not nearly as helpful as the last time we chartered from DYC.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Generally Yes. There was an inverter switch that was not discussed but that was sorted via phone.

There is a lot of information that we went through quickly. A quick users guide on the boat would be helpful. The manual was on the boat. It said the inverter was an automatic switch from shore power to battery but that was not quite true.

Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes, Very clean and well kept. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out and relax.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes, we slept with the hatches open and did not need AC at night.
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Yes, Randeen and Alan we great hosts and tailored to meet our needs and requests.
Was the food good and well presented?
We particularly enjoyed the meals that were provided by Randeen and Alan. The menu selection was diverse and suited our group very well. The meals were well prepared and presented and there was always plenty to eat.
8. Additional comments about the yacht and crew?
We enjoyed spending a week aboard the Free Ingwe with Randeen and Alan. They made the trip enjoyable with a fun and easy atmosphere. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to charter in the BVIs or USVIs.

We originally booked the charter for the BVIs but changed to the USVIs do to COVID restrictions. We enjoyed our sailing charter, however would like to return someday to sail the BVIs.

Despite issues with boat, the trip was a success and Dream offered a reasonable credit towards the next booking.

Yes very, Carlton and the office crew were great, thank you!

Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yacht was clean however had multiple issues with the batteries. Port engine had a dead battery and would not start on its own. Had to combine the two engine batteries every time to start it up. House bank was completely shot. After running generator for 3-4 hour during dinner batteries would be complete dead by midnight, unable to even keep the fridge going. Aside from the battery issues and a terrible sewage smell in the starboar dhull while running the AC the yacht was great.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes, had everything we needed.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes

Carlton was great to work with, would definitely charter with Dream Yacht crew on Scrub island again!
