Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
We arrived late and there was a taxi waiting for us. It was our first experience with Navigare and it was very positive.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes. Their checklist was quite thorough and the staff was knowledgeable regarding the yacht.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes, for the most part. Refrigeration was problematic and house batteries did not hold a charge very well. VHF radio handset was unreliable. None of this interfered with our enjoyment.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Nanny Cay is very convenient to depart and return with the yacht. The staff answered the phone when needed and were generally helpful.

BVIs are still recovering and Covid travel requirements are challenging to comply with. This was our third trip and the islands are as beautiful as ever.

It was immaculate and perfect for our group.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes.
Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
The crew is what made Karma so perfect. Captain Tom and Chef Hannah..I don’t have adequate words to describe them. They work so well together, are so welcoming and accommodating, anticipated any need we might have before we even knew we wanted it, generous with their time and talent, friendly—we felt at home the moment we came onboard. Honestly, I could keep going. We are all ruined now because they set the bar so high.
Was the food good and well presented?
BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS! Hannah has a true gift. Gourmet, flavorful, satisfying, beautiful—three meals a day and each one surpassed the one before.

We struck gold when we picked Karma! The boat looked inviting in the website but what made me choose was the crew bios, the sample menus, and the comments from previous guests. We can’t thank Tom and Hannah enough for their hospitality during our trip.

We LOVED cruising St. John! Every bay and cove we went to had its own feel and gift to offer. We originally intended to go to BVI but Covid stopped that. I thought we would be missing something but Captain Tom knew exactly what we were looking for and he got us there!

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Yes
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?

Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
The boat was well cleaned, however the toilets were not cleaned.
For a two year old boat it was in ok condition:
- Charging the main house batteries required us to run the engines for a couple of hours twice daily. It would not charge from shore power nor the generator .
- Main cabin door lock broken
- the aft life line was missing
- Two of four front cushions did not stay up
On the positive side:
- The boat was very spacious and accommodated 5 adults and four children under 12 comfortably
- The four bathrooms and aft cockpit and table were comfortable for our group of 9
- Engines and dinghy motor and generator started reliably
- Six air conditioning units worked well

Yes. The single 115v outlet in the kitchen was limiting.

- The boat was very spacious and accommodated 5 adults and four children under 12 comfortably
- The four bathrooms and aft cockpit and table were comfortable for our group of 9
- Engines and dinghy motor and generator started reliably

Our trip was Christmas week 2021. St John , where we spent most of our time, was wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. Swimming with turtles was a very special treat. St Thomas also had some bays with swimming and snorkeling. Access to restaurants was much more limited than the BVIs. Sailing distances were much shorter than the BVIs, but there was an option to hop-scotch between destinations to increase sailing time.

Wind conditions were good except for one day with very light winds. Weather conditions were excellent with three short periods of rain. Water temp was about 80 degrees.

Yes, very good job, they provided videos in advance which was very helpful
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes, for the most part. A few "wear and tear" items, but not bad. Biggest issue was on 2nd to last day the genoa leach tore during a tack, in moderate winds (12-15mph). Not sure it could have been predicted, but the blue leach furling cover was very faded, hence evidence the sail was quite old. Not a big deal.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes
Was the yacht well ventilated?
As good as can be expected

The people are very nice, in a bit of a hurry, but kind and helpful.
