More than sufficient

Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Discovery is at the end of its charger life. I understood this when I got it. The price was very attractive for the size boat. Even knowing this I was surprised the boot was in such good condition.

Did you like the area you chartered in?
It was great for Maureen, water temperature, son, etc. I won’t come back because sailing area was not open and in large for the kind of charger and I enjoy do it. However it’s an area that needs to be enjoyed at least once. The biggest disadvantage was finding mooring balls. Not being able to anchor on St. John’s is understandable but a disadvantage.

Upon arrival and during your charter, were the staff of the charter company friendly and accommodating?
Extremely accommodating - I have chartered with a variety of charter companies in the BVI, and Navigare hands down has been the easiest to work with upon arrival, having the most friendly and professional staff.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes! The only issue being the water maker. After reviewing the manual and learning about the system, I was able to make it work; however the system has to be properly set up for the remote panel to function properly. After calling the base I was given some misinformation, and told for support I would have to return to base (the chase boat was inoperable). All worked out for the best, and we had plenty of fresh water controlling it manually from the unit itself.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Very clean, we had a couple electric outlets which were inoperable, and a few little quirky items to report at the end of the trip - but you have to expect small issues to pop up, and in the grand scheme of things the Great Catsby performed well beyond expectation.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
We had to request a few missing items (bakeware/glasses) and we should have asked for knives, measuring cups, and a can opener - but we were able to make do without these items.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Very good! We utilized the air conditioning every anchorage we visited, and it worked flawlessly.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
I was very impressed, and told my group this was the best BVI trip in all my years of visiting the islands. I will definitely keep Navigare at the top of my list when we come back down in October!

Did you like the area you chartered in?
Always, we couldn’t squeeze Anegada in this trip, but everywhere we visited was a huge hit with the group. Saba Rock is back and absolutely stunning, as is the Willy T! Next time we hope to visit Oil Nut Bay.

Yes very helpful/ and responsive.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Excellent job by Scooby their lead charter hand.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Excellent condition upon arrival. Major oil leak in one engine day 2 but was quickly resolved by Walter and co. Their emergency contact.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes.
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes.
Additional comments about the charter company and yacht you chartered?
Would be ideal if the boat had basic provisions such as toilet paper, basic spices, garbage bags, coffee filters, basic food staples. Particularly given that the location does have groceries nearby.

St Thomas was wonderful. Beautiful mostly undeveloped park area. Unfortunately due to covid sailing was restricted to only USVI which limited a 10 day sail.

Yes, Navigare was very pleasant and always wanted to help.
Did the staff do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
The only issue was the brief boat brief. The agent went very quickly and wasn't very thorough. We figured things out and were okay, but it felt rushed.
Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Very clean! The only issue we had was the house battery failed to charge the last two days. We had to run the engine frequently to recharge.
Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
There were no wine glasses 🙂
Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes, good breeze through the hatches.
