When we arrived the lady was very nice when we checked out I didn't really care for the lady she was not the nicest

It was clean but not as clean as when we chartered from the moorings

1. Were the staff at BVI Yacht Charters friendly and accommodating?
The staff at BVIYC is always the best! Abbie, Cassie, Kimmie, Anthony and the whole crew are friendly and super helpful.
2. Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Both boats were great! We had Andiamo, a Jeanneau 440 and Shelly Kay, a Lucia 40
3. Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Everything worked perfectly.
4. Was the boat well ventilated?
A/C on both boats were more than efficient and cool with windows open.
5. Did the staff at BVI Yacht Charters do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes. Things were a tad different this year with the video walk thru, but still good. I did recommend adding a bit more detail on the roller furling main on Andiamo
6. Did you like the area you cruised?
We did. This was our 7th charter, so we hit all our favorites.
7. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
Not really, you guys are always awesome.

This was our 7th BVI charter using VI sailing and can’t imagine booking one without them. They handle all the upfront paperwork, payments, any changes, questions and more. This year (July 2021) we had a few extra things to worry about like last minute changes to the CV19 testing protocols to return to the US and got a call to make sure we were all set while on the water, which thankfully we were. That’s extra service you don’t get elsewhere. We are already talking about charter #8 next year and will not make a move without calling Joann at VI Sailing first! Ron Martin

Patrice and Avril were superb!

Super Clean, Only one A/C unit on the main salon was not cooling well the the one working kept the area cool.

Excellent

Yes they sent Videos and answered all our questions to our satisfaction.

Our Boat the Njord of Sweden had issues apparently with the props, we could only navigate up making 1-3 knots. We had to use our sail to reach Virgin Gorda from Norman. Our sister ship Doc Holliday a Lagoon 50 that was travelling with us could get 7-9 know going up against the tide/waves/wind. They arrived at the VG 1 and a half earlier. Once in VG we could move arround @ 4 knots and we managed to complete the vacation using our sales. But after returning the boat we went back out with one of the Navigare team and he confirmed that our props were slipping not engaging well. We lost some time due to the issue but were able to have a wonderfull vacation. All the systems worked well and did not have to call base.

Clean Yes. But we had a battery issue that caused excess heat and fumes in the cabin. We had to return to base to remedy

The boat was pretty tired. I brought parachute cord and a leatherman tool and duct tape and had to use all of them to hold things together. I had the most frightening system problem I’ve ever had in 27 years of sailing with a flooded engine compartment due to a leaking hull and bilge pumps which were switched off. 2 feet of water in the engine room!!!!!! Had to limp back to base with one engine. This was not the first time this had happened on this boat as the engine/alternator were rusted and a permanent scum line was present in the engine room. The other engine room was perfectly clean. Numerous broken fittings, sailing hardware, lifelines, etc. Not the level of yacht that we paid for or were expecting.
