1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Absolutely. Matthias was very flexible and accommodating. He was able to adjust the trip itinerary based on what activities we wanted to do, and even our whims of the moment. Both Matthias and Dominic were great hosts.

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes, the yachts was comfortable. It was nice since we were the only couple, we were able to use the second bedroom cabin to store our stuff. The deck was comfortable with padded seats and mat to lay on.

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
The inner cabins had windows that we could open and we used the air conditioning at night to sleep.

4. Was the food good and well presented?
Dominic is a professional chef and the food was absolutely delicious and prepared as gourmet. We were absolutely not expecting this level of delicious food and presentation. I think we were lucky having Dominic as the Chef

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes. We sailed around St Thomas, Water Island, and St John. St Croix was too far to sail to, which I didn’t realize but made sense.

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Both Brian and Elena were accommodating and attentive to all of our needs. They are two people extremely committed to the satisfaction of their guests.

2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Black Tortuga was a very comfortable yacht for 4 people and well taken care of.

3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
There was great air flow in the cabins and air conditioning was an option each night but the hatch and starboard side window were enough to keep us comfortable each night

4. Was the food good and well presented?
Elena was not only a talented chef but well prepared for one of our companions gluten free needs. The food was delicious and presented in a fashion similar to most upscale restaurants.

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
We found St. Thomas and St. Johns with plenty of opportunities to enjoy. No need to get to the BVI in our opinion

6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
If it was me in your position I would have a pre-call with us to discuss our needs and get clarity on expectations. We were not versed in some common practices like tipping and extras. These would have taken some of the last minute guessing and googling that we needed to do. You answered questions when I called and were attentive but sometimes you just don't know what you don't know.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
We can't say enough about Brian and Elena. They made us feel like friends and not paying guests in all aspects of our time on Black Tortuga. It wasn't the boat that made the trip it was Brian and Elena who made the difference. If we sail again we want to go on the boat that Brian is the captain with Elena by his side! 1. Were the staff at Navigare friendly and accommodating?
The boat was being managed by CYOA in St Thomas. They were wonderful! All of them kind, upbeat and fun.

2. Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Could have been cleaner. Lot’s of sand all over the boat.

3. Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Missing many kitchen utensils. Especially grilling equipment. No measuring cups, limited bowls. Also, there was no deck brush

4. Was the boat well ventilated?
Yes

5. Did the staff at Navigare do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes

6. Did you like the area you cruised?
Yes, although we prefer the BVI’s
