We lost one day of sailing due to a failure with the freshwater pumps. Spent half a day on phone and troubleshooting problem before being told to return to Charlotte Amalie for replacement of pumps, which of course impacted our itinerary for the week. A couple items that we noted on the return checklist. Upper refrigerator drawer only cooled to 55° F, water heater would trip the AC power on the port side of the boat, and even under generator power you couldn’t run air conditioning to main area and cabins at the same time as it would trip AC power to both sides of boat.

We hope your charter lived up to your expectations. We would love to know some of your impressions about your yachting vacation. Please answer the following questions and add any comments you may have.
1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
Yes. Lori and Sean were like family right from the start. They were beyond friendly and accommodating and we couldn't have been happier.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes. The yacht was impeccable.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes. It had great air circulation and powerful AC.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
The food was one of our highlights. Lori made the best breakfasts, smoothies, snacks, lunches and dinners. She really went above and beyond. Her 'rendevous wraps' were especially tasty. Sean also made a mean painkiller that kept us coming back for more!
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes.
6. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
No. VI Sailing (especially Lisa) was very helpful during the whole booking process.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
Where to start...Sean and Lori were incredible. The attention to detail Lori and Sean brought was truly 5 stars. Lori's incredible food, Sean's amazing knowledge of the islands, the history, and the marine life, allowed us to fully appreciate the Virgin Islands and what they have to offer. The food...the drinks...the are no words to describe. We were never left hungry or thirsty and everything was so tasty! My mom always said to finish your plate, well with Lori's dishes, that wasn't even a second thought. The thoughtfulness put in by both Lori and Sean for birthday celebrations, anniversary celebrations really showed how great of people they are and the willingness to go above and beyond (that homemade fudge cake we still all dream about). Thank you both again! You made this trip something we will always remember.

We had such an amazing adventure and experience on Yes Dear. Captain Kyle is very experienced, knowledgeable and professional. He knows the islands well and took us to beautiful coves and beaches where we could hike, swim, lounge, snorkel, and play watersports. His itinerary was perfect! His first mate / best mate Nicola is an amazing chef and even better person. She prepared/served delicious meals throughout the week that exceeded our expectations and made our experience so comforting, relaxing and enjoyable. Kyle taught our 7 year old daughter how to wakeboard, blow the conch shell and our whole family new fun games to play. We are so grateful for the opportunity to sail / travel with such an amazing crew on an awesome catamaran. VI Sailing made it easy to book, had us well prepared, connected and ready to travel. We look forward to sailing again soon!

We always have a good experience using the Moorings for our island jaunts. While some of the issues with the platform and A/C were frustrating, they were minor frustrations, and were quickly resolved by a very responsive customer service team. We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the various islands of the BVIs even with the complications of quarantining due to COVID-19. We’ll be back!

1. Were the staff at The Moorings friendly and accommodating?
Yes - staff was great
2. Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
Yes, and sound device (horn) - also split in swim platform hose leaked water into boat & ran under rear cabin floors.
3. Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
but missing kitchen knives, BBQ tongs, Spatula and can opener- added later in our trip when we returned to base for our covid test.
4. Was the boat well ventilated?
Yes
5. Did the staff at The Moorings do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes
6. Did you like the area you cruised?
Yes but BVI restricted quarantined boats to the worst rolling anchorages.

9. Additional comments on your charter?
The boat was fine, though Moorings forgot to provide kitchen knives, spatula, tongs for the BBQ, and a can opener, and a sound (horn) device. We did not notice these things missing from our galley until the first day out. When we came back to base for our 2nd COVID test they added these items. We did have one issue with the boat, partly our fault. The swim shower hose was split. We did not see this at check out and our first hour out we left the water pump on. Lost 100 gallons into the lazerett. It mixed with diesel someone before us must have overfilled the tank and spilled some diesel back there. This ran down below the engine and under the rear cabin floors. Fortunately, our 2nd water tank was OK and we had plenty of water and never forgot to turn off the water pump when underway after that time. We sponged out as much of the oily smelly flood under the rear cabins as we could. This water and diesel mix did not or could not, for some reason, run down to the midship bilge pump. I think this is partly due to the design of these boats with flat bottoms and manufactured with floor grids that separate the sections. Moorings fixed the shower hose when we returned to base for our 2nd COVID test. Other than that, the boat was fine and the steady 18 to 20 knots of wind provided us with good sailing days. We did miss seeing some of the land sites and the anchorages allowed to quarantined boats were not the best (a bit rolly) but we still enjoyed the sailing.

We hope your charter lived up to your expectations and we are eager to have your evaluation and impressions of your yachting vacation. Please answer the following questions and add any comments you may have.
1. Were the staff at Navigare friendly and accommodating?
They were very nice. Avril and Compton went way above and beyond helping us with governmental nightmares.
2. Was the yacht clean and in good working condition?
nightmares. Was beautiful, very clean. Unfortunately we had to return to Nanny Cay the very next morning to get the generator fixed. It was over heating and they spent a few hours replacing the heat exchanger.
3. Was the yacht's cooking and cleaning equipment sufficient?
Yes
4. Was the boat well ventilated?
Yes
5. Did the staff at Navigare do a good job familiarizing you with the yacht and its equipment?
Yes, because of covid restrictions, our boat briefing was down via video. At first I was not happy about that, but it was actually better because I was able to re-watch a couple segments when I needed them.
6. Did you like the area you cruised?
Yes
7. Could we at Virgin Island Sailing, Ltd. have helped you further in any way?
All our troubles, except for the generator, we're related to Covid-19 restrictions and the incompetence of the local government. Our 4 day quarantine turned in to 6 days and we were forced to come back a day early to meet covid testing requirements.
8. May we post this review on our website?
Yes
9. Additional comments on your charter?
Avril gets 10 stars, she worked extra hours for us and was very friendly, but I may be reluctant to visit the BVI again because of the current government. There are many other islands to explore.
